FILM / TWO HONDA CRF250Rs
Skyfall.
Two roles, one Honda CRF250R.
The motorcycles racing across Istanbul are both Honda CRF250Rs. One looks like a local market bike and the other like a police machine because the same competition platform was dressed for two different roles.

One CRF250R, dressed for two parts
Honda's release identifies both Bond's and Patrice's motorcycles as CRF250Rs. The bodywork changes the story each one tells: a practical merchant machine on one side, a Turkish police-style bike on the other.
| Film role | Base | Visual treatment | Shared structure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bike taken by Bond | CRF250R | Local market and cargo-bike look | High fenders, narrow seat, large wheels |
| Patrice's bike | CRF250R | Turkish police-bike look | Long suspension and light motocross chassis |
Twenty CRF250Rs—and a CRF450R behind the camera
Honda supplied 20 CRF250Rs to support the chase and stunt work. The production also chose the larger CRF450R as a camera motorcycle, allowing the operators to follow the action over demanding ground.
The CRF250R is a purpose-built motocross machine with long suspension travel and minimal bodywork. That makes it visually and mechanically different from the road-equipped CRF250L, which carries the lighting and equipment needed for normal public-road use.
The cargo pieces and police-style bodywork were created for filming. They should not be treated as standard CRF250R equipment or as a road-registration recipe.
From the chase bike to three current Hondas
These are not direct replicas or successors. They continue three useful ideas: a light trail bike, an everyday adventure model and a larger long-distance machine.
