This page explains, in plain language, what is saved in your browser and how analytics works. Last updated: 12 September 2026.
On a first visit, Google Analytics 4 is not loaded, regardless of your region. Measurement begins only after you choose “Allow analytics”. Choosing “Do not allow” does not limit any site feature. You can change the choice at any time from “Analytics settings” at the bottom of each page.
1. What is saved in this browser
Your selected preferences and information from a shared link may be handled temporarily in this browser so your result remains available as you move through the site.
If you use “Save for comparison”, up to three motorcycle choices are saved in this browser. Select “Clear all”, or delete this site's browser data, to remove them.
The site has no feature for entering or storing your name, email address, phone number or postal address. The list of motorcycles saved in this browser is not sent to Google Analytics. If you follow a model-guide or external-site link, however, the maker and model at the point of that click may be sent with the interaction so we can understand which routes are useful.
When needed to protect the site from abusive traffic, Cloudflare's security features may use essential cookies such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance. They are not used for advertising.
2. When analytics begins
We use Google Analytics 4 to improve the experience, but its tag is not loaded on a first visit.
- No choice yet: Google's analytics tag is not loaded until you allow it, and activity before permission is not sent later.
- Allow analytics: measurement begins at that point and the choice is saved in this browser.
- Do not allow: measurement does not begin and no site feature is limited.
- What it can show: pages viewed; use of selections, filters, comparisons, sharing and outbound links; device and browser type; approximate region; and referrer
- What it does not show us: your name, contact details, User ID, free-text content or precise location
- Why we use it: to find unclear screens and display problems and improve the service
Analytics is not used for advertising or to identify individual visitors. Google Signals, advertising personalisation and User-ID are disabled, and extra information added to shared URLs is removed before the page address is sent. Event-data retention is set to 14 months, and data is not kept when it is no longer needed for service improvement.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand real-world page performance. It does not use cookies or browser storage and does not create an identifier to track individuals. This performance measurement is separate from the Google Analytics setting.
3. Data sent to Google and external websites
When analytics is active through your choice, the usage information above is sent to Google Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Manufacturer websites and other external destinations apply their own privacy policies after you leave Ride at First Sight. We do not control cookies or data processing on those websites.
4. Change your choice later
You can change your analytics choice at any time from “Analytics settings” at the bottom of every page. When you turn analytics off, the site stops sending analytics events, removes readable Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page. Saved motorcycles can be removed with “Clear all” in the comparison area.
